Day 2,3,4
September 10-12
We had a lovely dinner in Newport with friends Bernie and Aedan Gleeson. Our mooring in Newport Harbor was only rented on a 1 day basis because the Newport Boat Show begins on Thursday, Sept 15th. There are boats coming in for the show and boats that have to vacate their marina for the show so they have first priority on a mooring. So Saturday morning, with a great weather window, we chose to leave Newport and head west to Fishers Island NY. We had a calm and cool cruise across Block Island Sound into Fisher Sound.

Saturday and Sunday we sat aboard and watched other boats show up for an afternoon stop or quick overnight. It was very windy on Sunday so we stayed aboard and found things to do. Peter changed a tire on his fold up bicycle while Jane made scones and yogurt.
