Now that we have moved aboard and completed the sea trial we focused on getting all our things organized and put away. On Saturday afternoon our kids arrived. Natalie and Raven are celebrating their anniversary so they checked into an inn in Rockport. They arrived with a bottle of rum for Peter and a beautiful bottle of champagne to "christen" our boat.
Sarah, Eric, Sophia, and the dog, Petey arrived next. They carried our new dinghy in Eric's truck. Sophia was fascinated with the boat, going into and out of all the rooms aboard. We had to keep a close eye on her while outside. They stayed on board with us overnight.
Saturday evening we went for dinner in Rockland, celebrating an anniversary, a new job, a new (to us) boat, and Mothers Day. It was quite the celebration!
After the kids left we got back to provisioning for a week's trip south and again organizing things aboard. It was raining again...........until all of a sudden the sun started to shine and this is what we saw! We consider this a good luck symbol from family above for
our travels aboard Kinvara II. We hope to leave the dock on Tuesday to head to Rhode Island.
