Greenwich Cove

A pair of snowy egrets
A pair of swans sunning
Our view of Goddard State Park

It was a beautiful morning in Newport Harbor but today was also the beginning of Memorial Day weekend. We decided to leave and head a little further North in Narragansett Bay to Greenwich Cove. We applied to become members of the East Greenwich Yacht Club and have a seasonal mooring waiting for us. So for the next week or so we will be transients there until our membership is finalized.  Our mooring spot is really beautiful. It is a little further in the cove but we are adjacent to Goddard State Park. We have enjoyed watching the wildlife there. Last night we saw 6 deer come down the wooded hill and frolic on the path by the water before disappearing again into the woods. We have watched hawks, osprey, swallows, a pair of swans, and even a pair of egrets.
This little swallow loves sitting on our bow pulpit
We have had difficulty getting internet to our boat even though we can access it easily from the Greenwich Yacht Club ashore. Peter installed our Wirie AP internet booster and Jane was able to pick up loads of signals. Only a few were open networks not requiring a password and most of those were Beacon Wifi which has a fee. We haven't decided yet if that is the route to go or get a cellular mifi.
